Kayak Trips
Note: All trip times and availability will vary based on the dam release schedule for that day. Please call ahead of time to plan accordingly.
We do not have a credit card machine on site. The only way to use a credit card is to reserve online through our website. We highly recommend your reservation is made online through our website. Once your reservation is in our system we are then able to make changes or add items if you wish to make a purchase at our store. We also accept cash payment as this seems to move things along quite a bit faster than credit card transactions. However reservations are strongly recommended. Showing up with cash does not ensure that you will be able to get a spot.

Our 6 Mile Trip

A trip that will take you through tranquil solitude and floral mountain views. This trip allows you to get in the water at our location, travel 6 miles downstream, and be shuttled back to our location when you are finished. The bus ride back takes about 15 minutes.

Pricing: $45 per single, $85 per tandem

No dam release: This trip takes 3 hours when the dam is not releasing water. this trip is perfect for beginners. Fishing is allowed at this time if you have booked our fishing trip. This is also the perfect time to swim, have a picnic or take some great pictures. If you would like to keep your kayak for longer than 3 hours you will need to book under the 6 mile fishing trip, even if you are not fishing.. Drinks are available for purchase in our store or you can bring your own. Please do not bring styro-foam or glass on the river. Please take into consideration that you will be in a kayak for 3 plus hours. Know your limitations. We can not come and get you if you get tired. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. If you are not ready to get in the water by 15 minutes after the hour, you will need to reschedule or take the next trip out if there is availability. Also, please be aware that if you are not at the take out point at your designated time you may have to wait for the next trip to leave. The bus ride back is about 15 minutes one way.
Dam release: This trip takes 2 hours and gives experienced paddlers an opportunity to relax with minimal paddling! Many people really enjoy this trip because they enjoy cruising rather than paddling as much. On this beautiful section of river an experienced paddler is considered to be someone that can steer the boat. That's it! If you have never been in any type of boat and never paddled you are considered a beginner, otherwise you are good. The water does all of the work, you just sit back and keep her in the middle of the river. Beginners do have the option to go in a tandem with an experienced paddler. For your safety fishing is not allowed during a dam release if you are renting our kayak. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time. If you are not ready to get in the water by 15 minutes after the hour, you will need to reschedule or take the next trip out if there is availability. Also, please be aware that if you are not at the take out point at your designated time you may have to wait for the next trip to leave. The bus ride back is about 15 minutes one way.

This trip offers a private 30 minute kayak session with one of our professional team members. You will learn how to safely paddle your kayak on the river as well as other useful tips that will have you feeling like a pro! You will also get to enjoy the river's beautiful scenery as you learn. |
